I’ve been purposely quiet on here lately. Like most of you, I can only handle so much shite before I begin to feel suffocated by it. Years ago, while working as a reporter I did a story about a mother whose toddler son wandered off at a state park. Understandably panicked, the mother and father alerted the camp and soon everyone was looking for the little boy. The fear was that he’d been abducted.

He wasn’t. Instead he had somehow fallen thru the camp toilet. That mother ripped that toilet seat off the public facility, and as her husband held onto her feet, she lowered herself down to reach her son’s tiny outstretched hands and pulled him to safety.

Fortunately, the toilets had been cleaned prior to the weekend, so the shite wasn’t deep enough to suffocate the child.

That’s not the case with this Trump administration. Trump and his administration have lied so much that shite is flooding our streets, our homes, our churches, our city halls, our schools.

Lately, it has felt like I can’t catch my breath.

For me, the war became the turning point. It’s a trigger for me. I have a bit of my own PTSD to deal with, and when they intentionally killed those children at the elementary school in Minab, it set off all my triggers.

I don’t believe anything this administration claims. And to be quite frank, I am disgusted with today’s media corporations. For the past 24 hours, they have spewed out the talking points of this “incredible rescue of a pilot stranded.”

I don’t believe a word of it.

Last week I was teaching sixth graders how to write an essay making a claim. “You must follow your claim with at least two pieces of evidence,” I said. Then I gave them examples of what evidence is – facts.

Those sixth graders had a better grasp of what facts and evidence are than today’s corporate media. Even Katie Couric, a journalist I’ve long respected, posted the White House’s claim of the supposed pilot rescue to her social media sites.

Without any evidence.

Not a single one of these media outlets have any evidence, any facts to back up Hegseth or Trump’s claims of this incredible rescue.

We don’t know the pilot’s name.

We don’t know what hospital, if any, he or she was taken to.

We don’t know who their family is.

There’s not been a single interview of a first hand account, as would typically be the case.

What we know according of Hegseth and all the media outlets that have echoed him is that the pilot’s first communication was “God is good.”

Insert Eye Roll.

Hegseth’s account of the rescue is pure hogwash. Fiction. I don’t believe a single word of it.

This administration is great at cover-ups. We know absolutely nothing about the shooter in the fake assassination attempt. The media just accepted the story Trump and his inept Security Detail told.

We know nothing about the supposed second attempt.

We know nothing about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, other than the ballistics don’t match the gun the young MAGA supporter had. Who really killed Kirk? Kash Patel is too busy partying with hockey players and bonking his country music girlfriend to follow up on any murders. And Erika Kirk is too eager to take over the multi-million dollar business to care that ole Charlie was offed.

Nevermind the huge coverup that Blanche, Trump’s personal lawyer, is engaged in as I type this. Ghislaine Maxwell is pleased as punch. Forget the victims of Epstein and Trump. All that will continue to be covered up until Republicans die or are voted out of office.

We have a madman running the country, and an impotent Congress assisting him. If we the people do not rise up, this shite is going to suffocate us all and media is going to report the death of democracy as the best thing to ever happen to Americans.
