The people who know me best think I missed my calling. They tell me I should have been a preacher. Maybe so, but I grew up Southern Baptist. Women weren’t even supposed to wear pants with a fly in the front, much less step into the pulpit. So I found a way to say what I needed to say without being ordained to do it.
